Here is a picture of the factory stamped steel hood latch. Not very good looking. |

Here are pictures of the new Fesler billet aluminum hood latch. Much nicer looking. I've also included a comparison
shot with the old hood hinge. |

The hood on my car is a Harwood fiberglass cowl hood. Unfortunately, Harwood decided to use different size bolts
for the hood latch mount so the bolts that came with the latch would not work. After looking at button head bolts
in the proper size, they didn't look right in the billet washers included as you can see in the left. I went with a
hex head stainless bolt with a shoulder on it. It fit the washer perfectly. Also included is a sideshot comparison
of the bolts as the Harwood hood requires a longer bolt (Excuse the blurryness). |

Here are the new hinges as they arrived from Fesler. The kit was complete with struts and bolts and came in a nice package.
I went with the black powder coated kit with the black struts for a fiberglass hood. |

Here are pictures of the ugly factory hood hinges. The lightweight springs barely worked for the fiberglass hood. |

The hood needed to come off to install the hood. |

Here are a few comparison shots of the Fesler hinges and the factory hinges. |

Here are pictures of the finished product. I took a lot of time to get the hinges and latch adjusted. If you look
closely in the pictures you can see that I used billet washers and button head bolts on all fender mounting bolts.
You can also see the billet hood adjusters as well. |
