History:
- I purchased this car in the summer of 1987. It was a
nice daily driver, but not really restored well. It had fiberglass quarter
panels on it and was in bad shape underneath. I then rebuilt the car
mechanically over the next 2 years. I installed a posi rear to better handle
the power. I replaced the worn 307 engine with a built 327 engine. I replaced
all four springs and shocks. Mechanically the car was in perfect shape. In the
fall of 1989, I took the car off the road and started stripping off all the
body panels and purchased new GM parts to replace them. I purchased both
quarter panels, both trunk fillers, taillight panel and the upper filler
between the trunk lid and the back glass. I also procured a set of used
fenders for the front. Unfortunately, I never did get around to installing the
parts and the car sat in my parents' barn for 13 years. I have since brought
the car home and started working on it again. This site will follow my
progress in the restoration of the car.
